My name is Agustina Ros Niveyro, born and raised in Misiones, Argentina. When I was seven years old I began to venture into the art world with my first teacher of plastic in her atelier.

I learned technical and Theory , losing myself in the history books of art. During my adolescence I continued cultivating in the area , and finally enroll in the career of Visual Arts at the University of the Argentine Social Museum in Buenos Aires.

There I continued my growth in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking. But it was born in me the need to return to my country to incorporate root in my artistic development.

In Misiones , I worked in a studio (o atelier, sinonimos para decir taller) of Arts of Fire, until, out of curiosity, I discovered the work of the glass to the flame.

To learn about this technique , I traveled to Barcelona and met my second master , the great glazier Ferran Collado , who immersed me squarely in the world of glass. Back in Argentina , I started to produce jewelry in glass.

Then , I found through the Active Design Program of the Nation, with Francisca Kweitel, my fairy godmother in contemporary jewelry. With her, we develop a collection of unique pieces that fostered my capabilities of design, creativity and resolution, providing a sensitive and own view.

To follow my training, I expect two amazing courses with artists Sullen Fowler and Simone Crestani on the premises of Courning Museum of Glass.

And so, I continue...

MY WORK:

My aesthetic search was like a question with which we are born. It disturb us , gives us around, makes us question our surroundings. And that's what encouraged me to move and shaped my thinking, and created in me the need to release, externalize, to find in the outside, on the other , in its reaction , the answer to everything , that 's my everything , my only desire.

My artistic process begins in the encounter with the art and technique, with which managed to build the bridge to my ideas.

Glass has captured me in his infinite layers of translucency. While mold , I accompany subtly transformed into what I want , what it allows me , in which we both agree.

And all through the fire, my element in nature, one that represents me and who understand me more.

Finally, I turn it into jewelry, a piece that plays with the body of the wearer, what makes it unique, from the creative process to its utilitarian and artistic end.
